We warmly invite you to the Singapore The Singapore Brain Modulation Symposium is an inaugural event that brings together international and local experts to discuss and exchange ideas on neuromodulation. Topics on electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, deep brain stimulation and neurofeedback will be covered for a wide range of psychiatric illnesses. This symposium is hosted by the Department of Psychological Medicine, National University of Singapore and supported by the College of Psychiatrists and Singapore Psychiatric Association. This event will be held on 2 November 2017 at Tower Block Auditorium, National University Health System.
Theme: Advances in Therapeutic Neuromodulation
Program: One full-day of plenary lectures and oral presentations
Aims:
- To raise awareness of modern brain modulation techniques for both the public and local healthcare professionals
- To enhance psychiatric services for patients
- To strengthen ties among brain modulation practitioners/researchers both locally and internationally; to develop a collaborative network for research, education and clinical practice
The Medico-Legal Society of Singapore (MLSS), in collaboration with Singapore Medical Association (SMA), is organising The Annual National MedicoLegal Seminar 2017 on 14 & 15 October (Saturday & Sunday) at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore, Riverfront Ballroom, Level 2
The theme for the seminar are:
- Day 1 (14 Oct): Informed Consent
- Day 2 (15 Oct): Forensic Psychiatry
This Seminar will be useful to healthcare professionals (clinical & non clinical); leaders of professional organizations; and practicing lawyers. Participants will be able to have a deeper understanding of the law as it affects medical disputes and consent taking. It provides for a platform to discuss and clarify various medico-legal issues with the local experts, during the seminar.
